Thanks Van! The Stormr jacket is a serious piece of gear. Zander's review was, imo, a bit conservative with regards to the cold weather performance. He probably just didn't have the conditions available to test it fully. This is the best foul weather jacket I've had, and it gets compliments everywhere. No other rain jacket has been wearable in single digit temperatures and stiff winds.

Of course, the Zojirushi pressure/induction cooker makes the best rice in town. Important for Asian households.

no pic at the time, but I received:

- NRX 842S SJR & Sustain 3000FG, and a pack of tungsten drop shot weights (from my boss)
- Sage Click IV fly reel (from my lovely girlfriend) to be paired with my 5 wt. nymphing rod!
- Sage 4210 fly reel (from my lovely, beautiful girlfriend) to be paired with a future switch rod
- 2 megabass sigletts (from my lovely, beautiful, amazing girlfriend :P the compliments just get better and better)
- ice fishing waterproof gloves, toque, Simms wallet and gift card to fishing store (from my mother) --- which went towards my new NRX 822S DSR and Stradic CI4 1000FML combo

I guess Christmas was pretty good!

I got a set of StormR bibs/jacket too. The only thing I wanted. I already have WAY too much tackle.

There is when you have crankbaits you bought 6 years ago that are BADA$$ but you haven't thrown them yet cuz there are still baits in front of them that haven't gotten wet. Then there are countless bags of plastic you forgot you had.... it goes on and on.....

I have to agree with you Doc! but just a little bit! I had a bin full of cranks and jerk baits I hardly used, most of which never touched water. I got rid of them all last February and just kept my box of megabass, jackall, lucky craft, and rat-l-traps.

I'm finding the same thing with my fly gear now lol way too many flies I've tied and I keep tying… still don't know why :-k
