Ok how did you go about getting the Daiwa knobs on the Shimanos?

If you're referring to his metaniums, those knobs come with the handles. Both ZPI and Studio Composites have similar knobs to Daiwa.

Very nice collection. How does those Studio Ocean Mark Spool perform compare to the original shimano / yumeya spool. The lip design is quite a bit different from the original. Yumeya shallow spool is quite hard to find now a day.

Reel stands are from Ebay, Senri is the brand.

My original intentions were to source a Yumeya Shallow Spool. I searched high and low in Tokyo and no one has it. Funny how one store in Hong Kong has almost every spool imaginable for the Stella.

I would however, rate the Studio Ocean Mark spool over the Yumeya spool for finesse applications. The felt washer is very smooth and very suited for light line application. The spool also has an interesting design in terms of bearing placement and it has a huge bearing inside to ensure smoothness. The drag stack is also greased with light line applications in mind!

Now I would definitely want to find a Studio Ocean Mark handle to complete the look!
