My New PopMax

Post by SouthArkFishin » Tue Dec 16, 2014 7:11 am

Red Gill Female PopMax. This is my first PopMax and I pretty much just bought it cos of the colors. Not gonna lie about that one. I guess you could say I buy all of my MB baits cos of the colors, but so far, other than this one, I've stuck to the colors that work best where we fish. I just couldn't pass this one up tho when I saw it.

Nice! I've never seen that color before. Is the belly more red or orange?

Looks cool, wish I did better with the PopMax vs the Pop-X...all depends on the conditions I guess.

Nice pick-up

Don't forget the Giant Dog-X.....

Wish I could have been quick enough to grab the PopMax but the Giant Dog-X is probably my favourite topwater so I'm happy.

There's still a few out there I think. You just gotta look hard. I know there are some 110s around cos I've seen them lately. I got this one from Samurai Tackle and he had the Giant Dog too at the time, but I decided to buy some baits I'd actually fish instead of both of the Red Gill Females. Probably should've went ahead and grabbed it tho. And I may yet fish this one some. The topwater scene was over by the time I got it. Once it warms up I plan on throwing it. Provided I can find some thousand pound braid so I don't lose it of course...

That color looks cool and might actually work well for me locally. In the summer we get red and blue dragon flies both. I use red topwaters successfully.

I love when they land on my rod tip. Very cool for the brief seconds. Actually saw quite a few Bass come clean out of the water chasing them this year.

I really dig the Aaron OB - The mouth is red and the belly is orange. Sexy as hell.

Third from the top.

The only reason I ever buy MB baits is the paint schemes. I love Pop-X's
