Those were some cool vids, Kenji! It looks like you're very proficient with the paddle, the rod, the reel and the net at the same time. I like how you use your chin to engage the reel once you land them. :P

It looks like some of those vids were taken on a river. I saw some nice largemouth and a small catfish being caught, but no smallies??!! ;)

WV is loaded with small creeks and many of them have been dammed. Most of these trips were to a long narrow dam which I believe is void of smallies. However I did catch this runt once probably washed in from the feeder creek.

Take heart Kenji, in a couple few weeks it'll break, and by end of March/ early April it'll be on! Good stuff on the vids, although I too am surprised to hear that you haven't encountered more smallies- the Mon is full of them. Wouldnt want to eat em lol, but they are there...
