The Revo Elite Aurora has landed

Post by Bootytrain » Tue May 12, 2015 3:52 am

Beautiful reel as you can see.. Insanely light spool for a non BFS reel (10.37 grams). ZPI bearings and premium soft touch knobs. I do wish Abu would update the carbon fiber handle to a more modern design. This thing is almost too pretty to fish

That reel looks awesome. Where did you source it from?

The LTZ spool does not fit, the Aurora spool is wider. Its noticeably heavier than the LTZ but I don't consider it heavy at all. The retrieve is similar to the LTZ, has a geary feels to it. The cast control clicks seem to be closer together but I could be just imagining things because I haven't fished any of my Abus for awhile.

Mine feels a little "geary" on the retrieve as well, but I'm thinking it's due to the clicking drag. Kind of weird the first couple of times you hear it. The cast control is very precise. Haven't got a lot of time on it yet, but it will sling a 1/4 oz. swimbait really far. LOL, 60 cranks @ 25.9 per crank. It fishes as good as it looks.

With a 10.4 gram spool Im not surprised it will sling 1/4 oz really far :D Now I just have to find a rod to pair with it.
