Got the clean Ringa SSS for $305 that i been meaning to buy for quite some time. I seen a few, but they were either roughed up or just over priced. I got a purple T3 SV spool to fit in and used the stock micro bearings from the SSS spool. With the PX68 brass gear set, the new pinion pretty much set the spool perfectly centered.

The other reel was a Metanium that had my interest, but i didn't pull the trigger till Ian posted his Sky Blue Honeycomb up for a good price. The Met was priced at $285 in mint condition and came with goodies attached. ZPI CF handle assembly, ZPI star drag, ZPI CCC, HH frame screws, HH level wind shaft, HH level wind cap, and HH AIR bearings. I forgot how thick ZPI makes their CF handles

The ZPI parts are a bit more expensive than HH, but the anodizing is much better. The colors are really rich and the ZPI purple looks closer to electric purple. I no longer have my DSLR camera to take good comparison pictures, but maybe somebody else could.

The ZPI purple looks even better than this in real life. My beater Aldebaran with brass gears. Would never trade this for the '15 Alde

Pen those are BEAUTIFUL! Sure can't miss that star oversized star drag. I have never used a reel with a honeycomb spool. I gotta get in on that action for some BFS bass.
