SV Series!

Couldn't resist, loving the aesthetics!
I was surprised at how better it looks in hand, than any pics I've seen.

The Steez SVs are great reels! I had one for a bit and I was very impressed with it. I just happened to find a reel that I wanted more, so I ended up selling the SV.

I see you swapped out the knobs.

Swapping the knobs was on my agenda. The originals weren't bad once you got used to them though. I definitely like the looks of the corks better, however. Now you need to put some purple caps on them and "bling" it out like your orange and black Steez.

I always try to pay it forward when I sell my gear. :)

How does it feel compared to the SS SV? Initial impressions? Assuming you haven't had it on the water yet.

Also curious, does the frame/body feel closer to the older steez or ss SV ?

Feels way more connected as a whole, if that makes any sense.
Love my SS SV's, but they never did translate as good as the Steez.
I was afraid of losing that crisp feeling due to the Zaion, but it really doesn't feel sluggish at all.

Unfortunately in Canada, ice is settling in, won't be a while till I get her out on the water.

Amazing Reel! I definitely want one of those!
Are the colored parts more blueish oder is it purple? Every picture of this reel looks so different
Thank you and Greetings from Germany!

Damn, why couldn't Daiwa leave these purple parts for those Megabass Reels :? Some blue would have been nice :(
Thanks for the welcome! ;)

I was like you, I was very suprised when I held it in my hands. I absolutely hate the original knobs though! Thanks to Ham Solo for the great deal on mine! :D

I have a couple of them and looking at getting another but thought I would give the EX a try first. Can anyone compare the SV with the EX ?

Does the EX come in a faster gear ration than 6:3:1 for lefties ? Answer is, YES - Thanks Ian

Also, what are the suggested knobs to get ?

The stock knobs, similar or identical to the ones on the Tatula.
