Other than cosmetics it's the spool. J dream has the lightest spool of all the zillions. I think it's 14g with everything.

I have never been able to find a mint J-Dream at a price that I wanted to pay. I almost bought a Megabass IP last year, but I was patient enough to wait for the new SV spool reels which give me less reason to buy the J-Dream or IP over the USDM Zillion that I own so many of. I think I'll keep looking for fun though. I really like the clean and simple looks of the J-Dream.

Yes but the j-dream and ip spools are lighter and more versitile than the standard zillion. That is why they are more desirable for most.

The Megabass IP comes in 6.8 and 7.9 ratios. The J-Dream came in 5.3, 6.3, and 7.9 ratios. The Zillion came in 4.9, 6.3, and 7.3 ratios. The Zillion PE came in a 6.3 and also a 7.9 special Japan model. The SV103 comes in 6.3 and 7.9. I don't know if any have gears that are not brass.
