Three beauties ready for opening day

Post by saoulons » Sun Apr 10, 2016 10:04 pm

Finished cleaning, tuning and blinging these three beauties over the weekend:

Steez Limited SV - With HH Air BFS bearings, ZPI Blue Emblem Spool and Sky Blue HH parts

TD-Ito 103HL - With HH Air BFS bearings, 7.1 brass gear upgrade, SV Spool from Steez Limited SV, HH Purple & Gun Metal parts, MB CF Swept Handle 100mm

TD-Ito 103HL - With HH Air bearings, 7.1 brass gear upgrade, Orange SV Spool, HH Purple & Blck parts, MB CF Swept Handle 90mm

The Steez will go on an NRX MBR 843C, one of the Itos will go on a MB X7 Extreme Mission and the other Ito will go on a MB Phase III Bearing Down.

Pictures look small but I don't know how to make them bigger...

Great trio!
Why did you put that ZPI spool to the Steez Limited instead of keeping original SV spool?

That's a very good question... For now, it's mostly cosmetic. Since the Steez will be paired with an NRX, I like the blue combo and I will be using it mostly for dock flipping / skipping and really wanted a blinged out ferrari for this purpose :P This is also a technique which I want to get much better at this year, so what better way to force yourself to practice it than with such a wonderful combo 8-[

Also, one of my TD-Ito has the gun metal color theme (drag star and nut), so the Steez gun metal colored spool looks nice in there; the Itos will be pulling mostly general purpose duty (primarily jigs and t-rigs) with two rods of different lengths based on how deep I'm fishing. This is obviously all subject to change once I get on the water. :big grin:

And thanks all for the compliments, I can't wait to take these beauties out on the water!

Excellent. The LTD looks great. Should match a blue NRX very nicely.

Beautiful....and you used my very same idea about the Steez limited and blue emblem!!! I have a BE on the way and have been contemplating about what reel to put it in. One thought was a custom painted TDZ, then I thought how cool it would look in the silver limited Steez with some matching blue parts. Congrats....those are three awesome reels.
