Steez SV TW 1016SH
The new Steez SV TW 1016SH arrived today. Early impressions are positive. It is very comfortable to palm, the frame shape feels great in hand - early days yet but feels much like the loved TDZ in hand. I would say the smoothness is on par with the stock Megabass IS and older tuned Steezes (I don't have an EX or Limited at the moment to compare). Smoothness could change once it breaks in but it feels great already. Cast control cap doesn't click and I have found with my bigger hands it is a bit hard to reach around the handle to adjust the cast control cap as much of it is blocked by the collar. Time fishing and casting on the water will tell, it may be easier to adjust the cast control than early impressions suggest.
I will post more once I get some time on the water. Don't want to make too many early judgements. Really pleased with it. Hard to beat the looks of it

Man that looks nice ☺. I've seen the spool being weighed in at 10 grams with bearing?
Re: Steez SV TW 1016SH
It looks like a steez/t3 hybrid. I like it!

I think the cast control cap is supposed to be difficult to adjust. You are supposed to set it one time to just a touch looser than no side to side spool movement (supposedly set at the factory this way) and then never touch it again.

Can anyone confirm whether an older 103/105 spool would drop right in to the new Steez (besides a bearing change). I would really like to get one for my main pitching combo, but would rather keep an ito 105 spool....my favorite pitching spool.

Is it easier to palm than the older Steez's?

In my opinion yes. Thinner thumb frame area. Very ergonomic feel to me. Another look:SPAZ wrote:Is it easier to palm than the older Steez's?

How that CC knob ZERO ADJUSTER works?

Official Daiwa video saying it comes factory direct with perfect spool position, do you still can adjust CC knob how you like or it set on static position?

Thanks. Not sure how long I can keep the stock grey paint on the new SV TWAbu Daimano wrote:Forget the TW, that orange Steez though... It's like treys lambo zillion
As for the questions about the spool - yes other 34mm Daiwa spools swap in. I am going to get some time casting it with a few different spools tomorrow hopefully and I will post thoughts
