Hey welcome to the "Show and Tell" section. This section was created out of popular demand. Just like you used to do in school, this is where a picture is worth a million words. You are welcome to show off anything from your new big catch to your big new truck and anything in between.

Have fun!

P.S. Unless made by someone with an advertising agreement already in place, any threads that become vehicles to solicit business will be removed at our discretion

Make sure you highlight the link and click on the IMG button to put image tags around it.

By "host" they mean another site to host or house your photo on the web. You cannot directly upload to TT, but can upload to sites like Photobucket, Flickr, and various others, to "host" your photo.

Yes loading photos directly to the TT site is easy I think maybe people need a lesson on how to resize their photos to fit. I use a Mac and the resizing is very simple using the tools button once I have the selected photo opened (double click the photo), which uses preview, I then select resize under the tools button and keeping everything in pixels, I adjust the width or the height depending on the picture being horizontal or vertical to the max which I believe is 580 pixels which will then automatically adjust the other height or width option. I leave my resolution at 300 pixels/inch and review the resulting size. I know the size limits need to be 100 KB or smaller. If the size is to large I will again reduce the largest option by a small amount and again check the resulting size values. On a typical photo that is wider than it is tall I will set the width to 580 pixels and the height auto adjusts and resulting size went from around 3 MB to 86 KB. if the resulting size only reduced to 115 KB I might change the 580 to 560 or 540, whichever amount used reduces the total size to 100 KB or less will work, rename the photo it you don’t want to overwrite the original file and save it to your hard drive remembering the location and name. Now follow the TT forum intuitive upload attachment tab to load as many as 5 photos per single post. Over time you can accumulate enough photos to reach maximum memory size on the forum which means you need to remove some old or older photos from the forum database to make room for the newest pictures or begin using another web site to host you photos. You can then either copy or link the photos to your post for viewing. (using another website as your host allows you to load more than the maximum 5 photos per post) I hope this helps other Mac users whom are unsure how to resize a photo to fit the forum without cropping the attachment and loosing a portion of their uploads.
