Orochi XX jpan versions are almost the same price as the regular xx i think you over paid a lot

That is a gem you picked up as well. I think an SV spool would be a nice choice there. Custom rods are always a fun option. It would be neat if you could do something in the custom rod work to incorporate the camo pattern.
Already on it. I picked up a sheet of adhesive wrap in 'mini night urban camouflage' color that I plan on incorporating into the build.

The color coordinators bug is as bad as the bait monkey. I made the mistake of putting an IP68 on a Tatula rod once and it looked so good on the rod it never found its way back onto the seven eleven X4. I also paid like $500 something bucks for an Orochi XX EMTF just because it red and I had a red reel that needed a rod. When that bug bites, it bites hard.[/quote]

Yup. Buyee made sure of that. The rod started out at $250 but $200 in shipping and $50 in Buyee fees and well.. there's the $500. Rods are a no go on Buyee due to the insane shipping and poor packaging. I didn't even get a proper rod tube for my $200.

Good grief! Glad for the warning. $200 for shipping is just insane, even if it's from Japan.
