Mail Call, did the mailman tow it to your house behind his mail truck? :laugh1: Sweet boat, I bet it has more room for gear than your duck boat.
Thanks for the epiphany captain obvious

Nice acquisitions. I scored a white python slant bridge myself as well as a metallic red PO. Wouldn't mind an AOI and an IS71 Illusion to add to the arsenal. Liking the new boat as well, very nice.

Congrats on the new boat. I bet it's a little faster than the old one! Don't scare the wife. Mine won't ride with me anymore, unless I take the kids to a small lake with a low speed limit. :laugh1: :laugh1:

I love seeing all the pictures in these threads, but have a rookie question... What is the handle offset on some of those rods for? I see it on a lot of the highly regarded JDM rods, but have no idea what it is for...

That's the Megabass "slant bridge" that appeared on some models (i.e. Diablo I & II, White Python, Mephisto, Jota, etc.). The idea behind it is that it helps when fighting a fish as the offset handle tucks under the arm nicely, increasing leverage. Looks funky and it works.

And to the appeal of the enthusiast, the slant bridge rods were made in quite limited numbers.

I think it helps with casting, also.

Perhaps. I haven't noticed any real difference in casting difference versus using two hands on a regular handle.
