Nice to see that at least 1 other person in the English speaking world owns and uses a Provisor creel.

Yeah, love mine, even though I mostly catch and release I’ve tricked it out a bit. Holds my net and a couple of zingers.

Cool. How JDM of you! Great reel. =D> =D> =D>

I'm glad to see those reel seats are still in use somewhere. It's a shame they went so mediocre with that on the 2nd gen Tatulas.

Thanks. They do have that understated JDM flair.

I haven't done anything with the 70MH besides cast and pitch around in the yard. Can't wait to see how it performs. It's cold this weekend and won't be any better next weekend, so I'll just have to wonder for a while.

If you want a true extra fast rod, you might be better off with St. Croix or Daiwa. Major Craft doesn't make many fast or extra fast casting rods These MC rods have a super sweet tip, but they have a progressive taper befitting their Regular Fast or Regular ratings. They aren't broomstick stiff, but are super crisp. They have no problem setting a hook, though. Not at all. They have a very powerful backbone, but I'd say they fit their rated power. They're also more sensitive than a similarly priced Daiwa or St. Croix. All this adds up to a stick that is very capable and very versatile. Personally, I love them and will surely get more.

I like that setup with the Humminbird! How did you set that up and/or was that part of a kit? Thanks!

I used a ammo box from Cabelas, the head, mount and transducer plus battery all fit in the box when not in use.

I used velcro to attach the glow cup.

For as much as I enjoy fishing, I have no idea how to ice fish. No idea how to run that style of depth finder, don't really know how to run a regular one.

Thanks for that information, that let me know if I do get a M.Craft rod I know what to use it for. I have gotten as far as I have with the other mentioned brands that are more fast due to using primarily light fluorocarbon. I assume Major Craft rods due well with braid due to the progressive taper???

Yeah, you can definitely run braid. They have k-frames, so it can be ideal. I use it on the 65ML, but I've also used 8# Invizx and that worked great. I'll start with fluoro on the other two and see what I think. The tip on them is soft, but it gets into the backbone pretty quickly and only continues to bend into the belly with increasing pressure. I'd say they're relatively fast, but they don't just shut off like a Daiwa or St. Croix extra fast. They, both the regular and regular fast, definitely flex a lot in the top section instead of starting to flex further down the blank like a regular action rod from either of those companies. Also, they have small caliber guides, not micros, but much smaller with one extra guide than a comparable Daiwa, at least on the MS-X series.
This is the way.

This goes along with a PM to Aquaftm re: EG grand cobra. This is with Dr. Perf's old PO. It was matched with a TD-Z from the start, but I was having trouble setting the hook with the wrong color... :D

That is some hardcore rod and reel porn right there Polkfish.
Thanks again for the feedback. My Stallion RS actually arrived today, will be posting some pics a little later.

Evergreen Stallion RS Limited arrived a day early. Spectacular look and feel. Thought it would be more Mike Tyson and less Hector Macho Camacho, but it has it's share of flair. Also, hoped that the TI/TOR semi micro's would be big enough for Braid to Leader, but it's pushing it even with a 2.5PE/12lb leader. Think the top 3 guides must be 4.0's, was crossing my fingers for 4.5's. Regardless, no regrets, it's an all out baller.
Now to figure out which reel to pair it with. The Steez A looked wrong, Steez limited looked wrong. Pulled out the MB IS standby's, and seems they look stellar on whatever I pair them with. Problem is, too many rods, not enought IS's. Balance point with 155 grams was on the collar that is between the reel seat and the rod, 165 grams (Steez A) was on the tip of the lockdown nut. Was throwing around the ideal of putting a Z-Pride on it @ 170 grams, seems like that would be just about perfect. We will see. Enjoy..
