Feeling Slanty

Post by 389Maverick » Thu Mar 15, 2018 10:28 am

Acquired these rods, handle is crooked, looks somewhat broken, but they're very unique in their own little way, so I'll just hang on to them in hopes of fixing them eventually. :big grin: :big grin:

What's the rationale behind the slanted handle, other then looking cool?

I never personally handle a slant bridge but I think the idea was possible Leverage but really just looks freaking cool IMHO :big grin: I'm sure someone with better knowledge will chime in :-k

Butt end being away from your forearm gives you a little more freedom of movement, especially with jerkbaits.
Not to mention, great leverage when locking up under your forearm.

They represent the true nature of enthusiast rods, there's just something about OG MB rods that you can't help but to appreciate and love, the rarity alone makes them a pleasure to own.

They are definitely something!

When I started reading about JDM tackle I was going years and years back looking at old forum posts and it is striking how much more wild the older rods look compared to say the current gen Destroyers.

Pics seem to show slant goes to one side. Are they available for both sides, or only one? Thanks.

The slant bridge goes "downwards", not to a side ;) .
