Those are all beauties!
I guess next would be an AIRD Red Tune with the spool from a T3 Air...?

Re: New Reel
I don't think I'm going to get an Aird Red Tune. I have more than enough reels with the sol/alphas platform.adam lancia wrote:Those are all beauties!

The T3 air spool is a bit on the fragile side. If I did get another red reel, I have a red cosugi works spool to put in it.
Thanks for the epiphany captain obvious
Re: New Reel
Spencer it is awful hard on me knowing that you are fairly close and use lefty reels. All that cool stuff makes my wallet want to jump out. Keep posting I love it.
I had a OG lefty Sol in the shop today the guy was complaining about not enough drag. Do any of you have an idea about what max drag was on the Sol/Alphas?

Re: New Reel
I'm not sure what the max drag on a sol/alphas is but carbontex drag washers definitely help.timinmo wrote:Spencer it is awful hard on me knowing that you are fairly close and use lefty reels. All that cool stuff makes my wallet want to jump out. Keep posting I love it.

Re: New Reel
I know they are available and suggested it to the guy but he wanted to keep it stock. I really did not think the drag was bad, I pulled line off. I would guess it had about 6-8 lbs of drag which I think is about standard on an Alpha.
Love your lefty reels.

Re: New Reel
Had the reel and rod at the lake yesterday. This reel is great for working the shoreline. If I want distance I will have to put in my blue cosugi works spool.
