You had better get some of those rods and reels put together, and go out and catch something, or else we will think that you don't fish! :D I'm down with the clean garage. That's a must.

I was thinking all that’s missing is the Antares AR, nevertheless those Stella’s are the bees knees as they say. I’m not sure what that means as I think about it. What’s a bee without knees?

Please provide feedback on those metaniums.
I’ve only ever had one and that was the one with the core body.
Those look amazing. Nice Shimmy line up.
I've had the new 2020 Metaniums out and they cast better and with less effort than the previous generation in my opinion (I had 10 of previous generation as well). The spool is slightly narrower than the previous generation and the finish is better in my opinion (I accidentally dropped one on the garage floor and not a scratch on it, my previous silver Metanium XG's would scratch very easily and be visible with the bright silver paint). I caught three stripers in the 15lb-20lb class on accident with the new Metanium and it handled it well, drag is smooth as butter. Plus as everyone knows now they've added the brass main gear, so no worrying about gearing feeling, etc over time with the 2020.

My counting could be wrong, but I think there is a rod without a partner. Next purchase?

You don’t know problems until your a/c gives out while the world is working from home and as you house temperature rises so to does the wife’s.
Actually I’ve always thought she was at least 1000 degrees above room temperature at all times and she just hid it well. Until now the a/c went out.
Initially it was hard times around here. I would get that look with the Smerk and the what would you like to eat dear voice.
Thank God for a praying spouse. She has to be praying cause she gave me three days to figure it out and without any questioning on progress.
Needless to say all the electricians and a/c&r techs I know and reached out to helped best they could from a distance. But I tappped out and called a professional.

I’m flat out over the NRX and I will say that my Antares HG on my 894 is a wonderful setup but the stick doesn’t have the sensitivity factor I had hoped for. I’ve never got a conquest but have considered it. The St. Croix sticks are under rated IMHO however price wise some may argue that they aren’t comparable to Let’s say an NRX.
I have a bottom contact rod and that blank is mixed with Ritalin cause it’s hyper sensitive to me. So to say that this rod is on par or better than the Steez bottom contact rod is really saying something to ME.
People talk about Dobyns rods and I see the prices rise but I think so does the amount of novocain because the must make my hands numb when I’ve tried them. The H3 Kistler rod was much better compared to any Dobyns rod I’ve had. This st croix rod is very interesting to me and I’m interested in how it compares to JDM models. To date I’ve not had a rod as bad as the bottom contact rod and it’s pretty much the rod that I measure others against.
Not saying any weren’t close just saying none have surpassed the BC in my hands

Man this comedic journey has failed me.
I was drawing a comparison between the medication and the hyper sensitivity of the rod. Obviously a fail. AC guy came out and only thing he did was give me a bill and a question mark. He stayed on the phone more than anything.
So his assessment is HIGHLY questionable.

The rod that I find to be super sensitive is the Steez Bottom contact rod.

Anytime the AC goes out is bad in my house as well -so I can feel for ya! Good luck.

Yeah- the Steez BC rod is what I use to measure other sticks. And the Steez 76MML. I thought my Zbones were sensitive ( and they are)!

Sorry for the thread hijack 18ranger. 😀
