Congrats on your PB! Nothing like breaking your own record. Being from California it’s tough to tell the size. I mostly fish the Delta and the fish there are very different than say a Florida strain largemouth. Our fish are really thick here. At some of the lakes I fish the Florida strain bass are much bigger looking lb.for lb.,but not as dense as Delta bass. So cal lakes the fish I’ve caught are mostly trout eaters and are shorter but got major girth. This is a pic of a 7.8lb Delta bass for reference. Not my pb but a good recent fish. You can see the thickness in the tail. I don’t wanna take a guess what your fish weighs because the build is so much different. Congrats again!

Yeah guys - I totally dropped the ball on getting a pic by my rod. I usually do that. All the smarts left my head when I saw how big she was. :lol: :lol: They just are not that common in these parts.
