Would love to see your tarpon shots.
On request from ska4fun to see some photos, I decided to begin this topic because we were wayyyyy off course on the other. Rather than simply share the fish catch photo, I thought I'd throw in some other images too. These are all from 2018 on our family vacation to Belize. The tarpon trip was a half day deal I went on by myself. There was only room for one more and neither of my kids wanted to join 😢

Man, that is cool. Beautiful and thanks for sharing! Did you go diving or were those taken on a stick?

Snorkeling... I haven't taken any dive lessons - I'm too cheap, can you believe that? ... so I just snorkel and use my go-pro.

Here are some more from the same trip. If there are any aquarium buffs out there, you'll appreciate a couple of these images.

That's fake! The tackle lacks glitter, fancy colors, it's not TT trendish at all.
I wasn't there to fish. I was there on vacation, so the gear wasn't mine. It was provided by the guide and let me tell you, that reel was really messed up. It wouldn't turn half the time. Almost had to hand line that fish in.

Had a similar experience in Panama, hooked a fish with two huge fangs and the fish ran while the drag was "all stop".
The line made a really loud POOW!
My heart sank. its still there.. :-({|=

Part of me is still sad to this day.

Ugh, and now I join in your sadness 😢 ... those fish remind me of a salmon with teeth!

Now that’ll teach me to be a wiseguy! I thought dugong and manatee were synonymous. I just checked and they are NOT synonymous.
