Alphas get the Bassart treatment

Post by Bass Pro » Fri Jun 30, 2006 4:46 pm

Got some new playmates for my Daiwa Alphas 103. Bassart handles + Daiwa Works cork knobs (4 bearings per handle)

Some new toys:

Getting ready:

Stock handle removed and Bassart handle installed:

One down and one to go.. Alittle before and after:

I would recommend to anyone doing this upgrade to make sure they use blue loc-tite on the knob screws. This is because you can not tighten them very tight or the knobs will not turn freely. It also seems that the 2 bearings in each knob add a little more smoothness to the cranking aspects of the reel.

I got them from Plat. He was excellent to deal with and I had them in 4 days! I've been waiting FOREVER for Bill to get them in and decided not to wait any longer.
