Can you see what I did here and do you think it will help with a wild spool?

I can't tell what you did. It has been a while since I owned a Steez. Are the magnets different or moved out maybe? Thanks.
Re: Whats wrong with this picture?
Magnets are the same its just that I added another outer magnet ring from another steez. Sticks out way more now like a 3d maybe later I can do some testing with my MB spool and see if it will tame it a bit.

What spool do you have that is wild? Seems like it would be too much magnetic braking to me.

Don't know if that will work without another inner magnet.

Agreed, the magnetic field that the 2 rings generate is relative to the strength of the individual strengths of the rings. That extra outer ring might even cancel out the field being generated by the original outer ring. Let us know how it works after testing it out. You could be onto something.LowRange wrote:Don't know if that will work without another inner magnet.

give it a go to see if it will work!Mang wrote:Can you see what I did here and do you think it will help with a wild spool?

FYI: the og Steez 100SHA set plate and magnet holder both use slightly thicker magnets. as well, you may also benefit from tuning the inductor on your spool(assuming that it is not a fixed inductor)
