http://www.empiremfg.com

A top Western Pro (Bobby Barrack) loves this stuff. I have about 3 bottles of it, but have yet to use it. I'm still using the ZPI Friction-0 and the Spin products!

Thanks, what spin products? link?

I know about the F-0 but its like water density scares me away from it.

On the empire site they dont mention the Xtreme Reel+.

The website is --- http://www.xtremelubricants.com

And the stuff is awesome.... It'll take you 10 minutes to get used to it... but, then you will cast smoother and further than ever before.

It truly is the best lubricant on the market!

Does it really dissolve grease and oil? Because I was going to wash all the oil and grease out of my reel first then re-lube with just this xtreme reel. But if it actually dissolves the grease/oil, then all I have to do is squirt this stuff on top of my hot sauce. Anyone know the truth or tested it? Sounds way too good to be true...

I agree. I also wonder how well it adheres to gears. I don't see how Reel+ can coat gears. It would probably be OK for bearings, but I'm just not convinced for everything else. I might be wrong, it definitely wouldn't be the first time and won't be the last either.

Does anyone have any experience with this product, especially on gears? Please give details. Please back up the "this stuff is great" or "this stuff sucks" statements. Thanks to all.

I think that the claims seem to be a little to good. The price for that stuff seems a little steep. I would try it on bearings but I would not use for a gear lube I would stick with greasing the gears.

This stuff is the REEL deal. I have used other products out there but this
lube will make your fishing reel come alive. I use braided line and now my casting distance is mind blowing. I did have to train my thumb again.

How about the gears? Did you try replacing your grease with this stuff, or just lubing the bearings?

Yes, I just opened up the side of my Shimano and pulled out the spool and just gave it a squirt and turned the handle thats all. The results are amazing. Remember to hold on. LOL

Just so I undrstand this correctly you did not clean the old grease and oil out of your shimano. Secondly you did squirt some on the gears.

Are you kidding me. Have you used the reel+ yet? Reel X is a oil,
there is no oil or grease in REEL+. This product is 100% dry. If you want
old technology use Reel X. Oil is in the past. Use Reel+ then
give your feedback. This stuff is crazy!!!!!!!!
