DR just for upgrades?

Post by avid » Mon Aug 20, 2007 7:59 am

It seems that DR is basically the man to go for with any type of upgrade. But what about routine cleaning and maintenance on a high end reel like a td-z.
DR do you do this, or is there someone you recommendend for the routine stuff. Thanks.

Avid, DR is deffinately your man. He has serviced and upgraded thousands of reels and has as many years expierence and I am old probably (24). People that even know what there doing will send their reels to him because hes that good with them. He wont fill your head with BS and wont sell you an upgrade if he thinks you wont really see a benefit out of it unless your stuborn and make him do it.

Hes not the type to turn down a JDM reel just because its JDM or tell you that if you use anything other then stock lube its bad like some on other forums (*hint). Picture a normal mechanic and then a Nascar mechanic.. D.R. would be the Nascar mechanic when it comes to reels.

His service is excellent to, he'll call you if needed. Not many old schoolers would sit on a phone with a 24 year old young gun. Hes a stand up guy for sure.

He should be getting two of mine for servicing(and upgrades if he see's fit) any day now. They will be both pristine and pumped up when I get them back :!: 8-)
