I was wondering if it was possible to add another bearing to the Daiwa T3-1016 reel? This extra bearing that I'm talking about refers to the key no. 69 that can be found in the link below:
http://www.daiwa.com/PartsDiagram/Parts ... 1016SH.pdf
The actual part number is F79-5801 which is the Worm Shaft Spacer (A). I was wondering if you could cut a part of this piece off and add in another levelwind bearing? It seems doable but I'm not too confident in my abilities to do so. Has anyone tried this? If so, please comment.
Thanks,
Bee

Not unless you are a master of sculpting/machining. All I can say is go for it and let us know how it turns out. On the bright side, the replacement part is inexpensive.

Would be extremely tricky.Real world benefits would be virtually non existent.
Much like a TD-Z line guide on a Pixy...
