Sorry, yeah I meant Amo. No experience with a ZPI.
Cool thanks. The ZPI NRC001 M was supposedly a great distance caster of finesse baits (not bfs) and handled high memory lines well.

Used my momo spool in alphas CT couple times, weight with bearing was 4.8grams, stated weight was 5.4 grams so it came little lighter...i was plesently suprissed with performance, casting 1 gram to 8 gram lures without any issues, very good distance too....I also have new alphas air tw and only advantage I've noted was in windy conditions alphas tw with air/sv spool was more controlled/less overruns..overall I believe better option would be to buy alphas CT along with momo spool instead of getting alphas air tw

Sold out again :D Someone dig out couple of these 4.6 gram spools and sold out quickly :D
And actually I like very much of this: Aftermarket very light spool for smallest available baitcasting reel sells out quickly. Because it marks that there is market for such products. Even more than producers thought. Very good! BFS is nice hobby and nice that there will be products!

Alphas Air needs also tuning spool! :D Without that it's good if it has similar performance in lightest use than tuned slightly bigger reel.

True that, but from the cost perspective, alphas CT with momo spool would be little cheaper than alphas air tw, plus you get power finesse versatility with standard CT spool.

^yeah, I know that. I like mine ct Alphas, it's nice piece of engineering at least with ridiculously expensive K.T.F. spool. I have also Roro spool to it which is slightly better in lightest use. Still I'm having interest to Alphas Air with tuning spool from Ali. Because lightest lures could be easier to cast, I think.

Hello, Friends!
I want try some BFS in this season with 3.5-10 g rod and searching for Steez SV TW spool for it.
Tell me, please, may be somebody compared Rays and RORO Spools?
Rays has SV inductor, but "heavy" weight, RORO fixed inductor, but a 33% lighter and deeper.
Besides, RORO price is 11$ higher.
Which one i must buy for my purpose?

I don't have 34 mm Ray's honeycomb, but close to that, old 'drilled' Ray's, which is slightly heavier than honeycomb, but same sv inductor.

I don't either have 34 mm Roro (I have only 30 mm) but I have similar type (weight and fixed inductor) Momo.

Have to say, I didn't use Ray's spool long, because in my opinion it didn't perform as good as I hoped good in lightest use (sub 4 g). Momo's I have used a lot. It performs good all the weights I have tested. Have to say, Momo's feels a little fragile to me and I pay attention how to treat it. Ray's spool feels very solid in contrast to Momo's. And nearer to 10 g casting weight there should not be performance difference. Both should cast enough. Only difference is inductor. I know that people in average loves sv inductor. I don't :) But KTF 'sv' (Kahen) is ok.

Btv, I looked dimensions in picture. In Roro there is 'huge' amount of bigger line capacity. Spooled to full difference in momentum of inertia pretty much disappears. But of course line capacity in Ray's might be restricted.

If goal is 3.5 g - 10 g, I would say Ray's might be better performer over all, if you like sv brake. It might has some issues with lightest lures, but if that's not main goal...

Thanx for answer. I think my working weight will 6-10 g: 60-70 mm minnows and small sinkers with 2.0"-3.0" soft lures.

^ Ok, then guess is that Ray's is better choise for you. In my opinion only question is that do you like sv style brake. But even on my opinion sv brake is designed to these weight 6 - 10 g :D And in addition to that, Ray's sv style inductor is much more sporty than original Daiwa sv inductor. I guess you will be happy with Ray's in your use.

A lot of the weight difference is located in the axle and bearing bushing. Aluminium for Roro and steel for Ray's.

I have Ray's for my Steez 6.3R, and I cast 2.0g well with it. For 3.0g and higher I wouldn't have considered Roro. But the reason I use Daiwa is because of the braking profile of the movable inductors ;) The Ray's inductor has a stiffer spring and smaller size than the original SV.

For my Steez CT SV TW I have both Roro and Ray's. I by far prefer the Ray's unless I'm casting 1.5g or less.

^ Yeh, but ct Steez is 30 mm and last question was 34 mm. With similar spool 34 mm has much more torque of inertia, because I = m x r^2 => 34 mm has something 50% bigger torque of inertia...

Neither do I use much of Roro spool for my ct Alphas. I use almost always heavier KTF spool.

Low profile frame for Abu 2500C. Replaces stock frame and allows the reel to sit much lower on the rod.

Gomexus has some bad ass looking stuff. Their carbon fiber handles are the Daiwa style with the sharper bends. I'm going to have to get a few of these to replace some of my Ray's and bump those down to Tatula use. I've never cared for the ZPI knock off look of the Ray's handles.

Anybody have a link for the Steez Air roro or Stream Angler spool? The old link is now sold out and I can only find the spools on Taobao currently. Wanted to see if they are available on AliExpress. Thanks!
