Zillion PE fast levelwind
Zillion PE fast levelwind
Hi, all. regarding Zillion PE fast levelwind tecnology, is because of the wom shaft or the small plastic drive gear? It's possible swap it to the 1st Gen Zillion for braided line fishing? Thanks.
Re: Zillion PE fast levelwind
I believe it is the worm shaft itself that moves the line guide at double speed. But you don't need the faster level wind to use braid on the regular zillion. The PE levelwind helps with dig in with smaller diameter braids but with 40+ lb braid you should have no issues with the stand zillion setup.

It is the gear. Its the same gear used in the new SV103. If you look at the schematic for the SV103 you will notice a different part number for the worm gear as well as the clutch wheel. Those 2 parts in combination make for the faster level wind. And yes, they will swap directly into the OG Zillion.

OUT OF TOPIC
Photo above from Alphas Finesse 105. Seller claim to say the parts took out form the reel ratio 5.8. As i know Alphas finesse only available 6.8 gear ratio on the market. If just form a simple picture, it's possible to know the ratio is 5.8 or 6.8? Because the worm shaft line gap is more wild than normal version Alphas.

Re: Zillion PE fast levelwind
it is a combinations of three things, i believe...the tracks for the pawl are cut a little bit longer, the gear on the worm shaft is a little smaller, and the 'idler gear'(which is connected with a/r ratchet in og zillions/SV103s) is a little biggeryplee33 wrote:Hi, all. regarding Zillion PE fast levelwind tecnology, is because of the wom shaft or the small plastic drive gear?
