Hey guys,

I want to do this upgrade and buy the brenious gears from japan tackle. Those who have done this upgrade, where did you get your key washer and drag washers? I'm assuming if you put bigger gears in the reel that you need to have a bigger key washer and drag washers. Any information would be much appreciated! Thanks!

When I did this to my Curado 50, all the parts came in a kit from Japan Tackle.

Instead of starting a new thread I thought I would just ask my question here as it's related.

Does anyone know what the IPT would be for the 7.7:1 gears? I know the 6.4:1 is 25 and the 7:1 is 28. Is 30 a safe guess?

I'm looking to do this upgrade too for my Curado 50e. It looks like Japan Tackle is sold out of the right hand gear set.

Does anyone know of another retailer that sells the Shimano 7.7 Brenious gear set?

Thank you in advance.

PLAT will order it for you I'm sure, you just need to ask them to load the Brenious on their parts website. Not sure what other parts are needed in addition to the gear set.
