What can I do to increase the drag top-end for my 70's? The seem to want to slip on hookset more than my Tatula CT's.
Should I upgrade to Carbontex washers?
Thanks

Re: Curado 70 Drag
Pull the fiber drag washers and soak them in a 50-50 solution of simple green. Scrub them with an old toothbrush, soak, and repeat. Then once you feel they are good and clean, rinse them under tap water and let dry. Wipe the metal washers clean and reinstall.
Re: Curado 70 Drag
I have not had the problem, at least up to a 3lb bass and I have not cleaned and relubed the interiors yet from the factory lubes.
Only the bearins cleaned out of the box.

Maybe look into a Scorpion 70 drag stack, in the recent review they tested it to almost 18 lbs.
