Anyone know for certain if the royal purple or deep purple is closest to Daiwa's purple? Specifically, the Steez CT XH.

Deep purple. If you have a Zonda lying around, the metal ring covering the magnets in the side plate is royal purple, the part under the spool tension knob is a little more blue than deep purple, and the line guide is very close to deep purple.
The knob caps on this reel are HH royal purple and the levelwind cap is HH deep purple.

There is no direct match. The Daiwa purple is an odd shade. Megabass Hyuga rods match it for some reason so there's that.
