Trying to get my hands on a Ryoga 100 series. I have a hunch that the ZLN TW/ZLN SV TW series gears may fit them...........

I have a moded set of 7.1:1 gears in a CV-Z103L and I think the LPT is 29.75". SV105 with 7.2:1 is advertised at 29.6". No real difference IMHO and the CV series excepts the well rounded TD-Z/Steez series 34mm spools. Alpha spools are a bit more limited in whats available both OEM and aftermarket.

Ryoga also uses the Steez series spools IIRC....... Just not sure how bulky the Ryoga's are??

It will be a bit faster than the sv105 because that reel uses a 33mm spool, so without spacers of some kind it wouldn't work anyway.

Those gears probably will fit the Ryoga, so you'd have a lot of options. Whether or not Ryogas should be considered round is up to you. It's been debated on here before.

So, who's got the Shimano answer to my question?

Is there a Calcutta/Conquest reel + gear set combo that will exceed the retrieve rate of the Conquest 100HG?
