Hi all
My friend recently acquired a Fishband GH100 as his first finesse casting reel. He got line caught between the reel and frame, however he did not know to take the spool out and instead took the side plate off. Being a novice, I presume he dropped parts from the reel accidentally. I came to fix the reel for him, but have had issues reassembling the reel. All the gears seem aligned and nothing looks out of place to me, but when the handle side plate is applied and the screws tightened, the clutch will not engage/disengage and the reel becomes terribly loud, grindy and hard to turn. Anyone have any idea why this is the case? Its only a cheap reel so I am not surprised, but if anyone has an idea of whats happening i would be glad to hear.
Thanks, Tim
