Shaped line guide tune
Harped on a while back about making a 3D printed line guide with a improved line guide insert, can't get anyone to 3D print a guide body so bought a doner $38 (AUD) Core 100MG line guide, removed shaped and inserted into Curado I 200PG beater Oae line guide body.
Took some thought and interior material removal and shaping but worked well.
Viola. Doing stuff

Looks good! Love stuff like this. Who knows if it does anything but I'm all for it.
Re: Shaped line guide tune
What did you use to cement the insert into the line guide?

Can't give you a figure as to by how much better it'll be, but in comparison the original to the new the opening diameter to allow the line to 'swing' while on the cast off the spool will be much easier to deal with now with the funnel shape than a perfect cylinder of the original insert.MountainMan 83 wrote: ↑Fri Jun 12, 2020 6:51 amLooks good! 24 hour Epoxy. Just wish I had some tint to turn it black. But this is #001 so doesn't matter.

Also ended up getting a Grappler line guide for the Tranx 300 - Grappler seems to have the Ti nitride coated inner surface - seems to be the rage - gold goes faster?
