Would you Tap that ito ?

Post by j2015 » Fri Jul 24, 2020 12:51 pm

Hello,
I have a TD Ito that I converted to a swept handle, but the lock but has become lose. It fell off last time I set the hook with it and the handle fell in the lake!
So, I’m thinking of tapping it to use the stz bolt screw style.
Anyone know the thread type and inner diameter for the stz lock bolt tap?
Thanks!

It's an M4 thread size. I use a .126 drill for the hole to be tapped.

It turned out great, zero handle play and looks good also!
Thanks mountainman83!

For anyone interested, I used the m4 tap with .7 threads To fit the steez handle lock bolt.
