09 Alde MG gear swap

Post by Drew03cmc » Sat Jan 02, 2021 2:56 pm

Hey all, looking to swap from my 5.8 aluminum gears to a brass gear that is faster. I see TT has the CH 50E gearset, no Brenious 7.7 righties in stock. Would the CH 50 set be 6.2:1? I see it includes the drive gear and pinion gear. Is that all that's needed? When I get it set up, I'm sending it out for carbon drag and what not too. Anything else I should look for?

Standard ch50e set is a 6.4 ratio. It is all that is needed to the swap but a drag upgrade is never a bad idea. The core 7.0 aluminum gears are still a very smooth set of gears and seem to hold well being that they are not a micro module setup.

Thanks, for the price, I ordered the 50E set and will put carbon drag washers in it as well.
