Has anyone thought about drilling through the body of their reels to allow easy (or lazy) relubing?
Like into the side plate of a baitcast reel right under the gear housing?
Or through the body of a spnning reel, on the gear teeth side?
Seems like a pretty easy thing to do. Drill hole, tap, and a plastic/resin grub screw.
Would be easy in the zaion/ci4+ frames (no bare metal to deal with).
Annoys me you can't get quick access to the gear like on some abus and the certate lt.

I've thought about it, but I'm too lazy to do it.

J/k, theory and practical application are sometimes far apart. Try it and report back!
Try not to let your mind wander. It is much too small to be outside unsupervised.

Did one on my Saragosa
Was planning on doing a couple on my low profiles but lost traction with the end of the year.
Can be done and is an investment.

What was your process Slazmo? And where did you locate your port on the gosa?
