Brass micro module “replacement” gearsets for the Core/Chronarch D/07 Met

Post by HellaBread » Thu Apr 04, 2024 10:40 pm

Just came across this and figured I share, for guys who want/need replacement gears for their chronarch D/07 metanium/core100, particularly brass gears, 16Antares DC, 18 MD DC gearsets will work with modification. You need to cut down the top part of the pinion which would normally go into the 2nd support bearing on the antares to match the original pinion and run a thinner drag washer under the main gear to lower the height to get proper meshing. This has apparently gotten popular in japan. With the MD DC gearset it’s possible to have a core/chronarch/met in an xg
I apologize if this is already common knowledge or has been discussed before
