Curado I Parts
My Curado I has a bad bearing. It is the bearing that supports the pinion gear. ( part #3927). Is the part I need available? I checked at the parts store on shimano's website and when I clicked to find my model, the Curado I isn't listed. Is there one of the previous generations of the Curado that I can get the part from?
Re: Curado I Parts
that is odd..they do list a picture of the reel..but not of the schematics...maybe parts aren't available for them just yet or its an error on their part that the reel was not added...if you know the size of the bearing..then just get one of the same size....

I thought that it was strange as well. I don't have the proper instrument to measure the bearing or else I would just do that. Maybe somebody here on TT can tell me the dimensions?

You can call 877-577-0600 to order parts. We are working on a new website so some of the data is being shuffled around. There will be some things that are missing during the changeover.

Re: Curado I Parts
So as long as I have the part number I need I will be able to order it over the phone?
Re: Curado I Parts
Yes. Even if you do not have the part number we can still assist you.

The numbers shaded in black are the bearings, just look up the number on the table below for the dimensions.

Re: Curado I Parts
I just replaced the frame bearings on my Ci4 I use in the salt with Boca yellow seal ceramic bearings(thanks JD).Greased and sealed so no maintenance needed. Reel was rough before but smooth as silk now. Bearing sizes are 5x9x3 for the driveshaft and xship bearing, 8x12x3.5 for the pinion support bearing. They cost around $10 apiece and are some of the best. Try them out if Shimano doesn't have what you need.

Re: Curado I Parts
Thanks everyone. I called customer service at Shimano and ordered the part I needed. Hopefully it will solve the issue with my reel.
Re: Curado I Parts
Just curious as to what happened to your pinion bearing in a new reel since this bearing is packed in grease and really does not spin, just stabilizes the pinion gear.
Re: Curado I Parts
Dirt and salt can affect the bearings. I suggest sending the reel in for warranty repair. We haven't seen many bearings fail since the reels are still so new.
