Mg7 and core?

Can most of the parts from the Core's gear box fit the Mg7? If so other than the gears being different how close is the rest?

Everything else appears to be the same. The yoke for the 7:1 gear set is different. The clutch, worm gear and parts like this are similar and will interchange.

I did swap the 7:1 gear set into the 6.2:1 Core. It does work but the gear feel is not perfect. I would advise that you do not change gear ratios in the reels to avoid potential gear/yoke failure problems.

Thanks Bantam1. Will the yoke from the Core 7:1 work on the Mg 7:1 or not? I think that you mentioned before that the gears will not interchange between the two Core models.

The yoke should work from what I can tell. The schematics should be up I think? If not send me your email and I will send them to you.
