Shimano Reel Drag Grease

Reading the post of the grease discussion came to me one question. Is ok to use the Shimano Reel Drag Grease in other parts of the reels like gearings and so, or this grease is only intended for the drag washers?

On the Shimano website it has a reel maintenance section that suggests using the drag grease on the gears etc..
