Shimano Chronarch B handle question

Post by beezy » Sat Apr 30, 2011 5:03 pm

Hey there I recently purchased two shimano chronarch 100B handles. Just the handle and knobs, nothing else. Now I want to change the handles on my shimano reels with these but this handle will not fit because I think I might need the handle nut plate BTN2118. My question is, is this the only part I would need if I were to install this handle on my core 50 and curado 50e?

I answered this for you on the 2Cool website also.

The handles will not work by just adding the plate. The drive shaft is too long. You will have to grind it down to make enough room to allow it to fit. You will also need the handle plate, handle nut and handle screws.

So can I just buy shorter drive shaft to replace the one on my curado 50e? or will I just have to grind the shaft down as the only solution?

You would have to grind the shaft down. We do not offer a different length shaft for the Curado 50 or Core 50.
