Can I add bearings to the curado knobs

Post by arrowslinger1 » Sun Jan 01, 2012 1:03 pm

I see that one will fit, but I would have to have a different lock nut to hold the knob on. I see that the one on my calcutta te would work BUT, it has regular threads, the curado's have left hand threads. Do they make the nut I need to hold the handle on that will allow the bearing to be added and have left hand threads????

Thanks!

I guess I should add that I'm reffering to the 200 e7's
I know that the 50's will accept one but they use a regular screw to hold the handle on.

Thanks!

also what size are the bearings and how much are they each?

It cannot be done on the 200E7. The post has been machined to take the place of a bearing.

This nut is not something we offer as a separate part.

I would sure love to have 8 of them if it were at all possible :(
Are you sure you couldn't distract the guy that puts the knobs on the reels by pulling the fire alarm and swipe a few for me :)

That would have to happen in Japan. First problem: I do not speak Japanese. It would take a flight to Japan and probably a lot of Sapporo to convince someone to do that ;)
