Handle Nut (BNT2417)

Hi Bantam,

Do CalcuttaTE 50GT and CalcuttaTE 100GT have the same handle nut size ? are they interchangable (BNT2417) ?

Yes they use the same thread sizing.

Seems like all shimanos use the same nut

The 300/400 TE and some of the saltwater reels are different. The 100/200 size reels are all the same excluding the Calcutta D

No they are not all the same ](*,) I bought some aluminum handle nuts for a Core and they will not thread onto the older driveshafts.

I ordered them directly from Shimano. Still in the bag marked Handle Nut BNT 4039. I have updated a few older pre D series reels. I plan to retap threads to make use of them.

You may have received the nut for a left hand reel. The thread pitch should be the same with the brass or aluminum nuts.

Well Bantam you are correct =D> I tried them on my lend to others to use reels that are left hand retrieve.

I was sent two of the wrong ones now what. ](*,)
