Hey Bantam1,
Curado I is going on sale all over the place. Is it going to be discontinued soon?

Shimano doesn't discount anything if its current.

I read someplace that because of the exchange rate with the yen, Shimano gave Shimano USA the go ahead to drop the price of some reels. I think thats how it went anyhow.

It has not been discontinued. It is simply a promotion running for 30 days.
