Wildcard?

So how does the Wildcard work now days?

I was told I would have to call G Loomis customer service and they would have me mail the wild card to them. They also want credit card info for when they send the rod, then u mail the broken rod back in the tube that they sent the new rod in. They are supposed to have a return label for u to put on the outside of the tube.
