Bearing sizes needed for 13 Metanium XG
I would like to replace the spool bearings and x ship bearings in my Metanium XG. Anybody out there that can help me out?

Re: Bearing sizes needed for 13 Metanium XG
Here's a list of all bearings in a '13 Metanium
Drive shaft and X-ship- 5x9x3
Pinion- 8x12x3.5
Spool- 3x10x4
Handle bearings- 4x7x2.5
I like Bocas yellow seal hybrid ceramics for frame bearings. They are sealed and factory greased so they rarely need any maintanence.

Changing the drive shaft and X-Ship/Pinion support bearings will not do anything to improve performance of your reel. Just know that before you drop the coin on new bearings.
Changing the spool bearings is up to you. The stock bearings are good enough to clear the spool while casting the Metanium. Going to something else might slightly improve performance with lighter lures. Usually a good cleaning and removal of excess oil on the spool shaft/center of pinion gear will do more than changing the bearings.
