NRX Issue
NRX Issue
I just received a brand new NRX Dropshot rod. In my limited use (spooling line), I can tell the first guide (Fuji Titanium) is making a bunch of noise, and the insert is loose. What are my options. I've had this rod for 2 weeks and haven't fished it. Is a guide replacement the only option?
Re: NRX Issue
If the insert isn't cracked or broken, just loose, then I bet a drop of superglue would secure the insert. The glue will be drawn into the gap and make a decent bond. Never heard of a loose insert before that wasn't broken, but I expect it can happen.

Re: NRX Issue
If that were mine it would be going back to where it came from and getting replaced.
Re: NRX Issue
You can contact the dealer where it was purchased and see if they are willing to replace it for you. The other option is to send the rod in for warranty repair:

Re: NRX Issue
Shipping to Shimano, they'll inspect and likely replace per a Cust.Serv rep I spoke to. They sent me a return shipping label.
Re: NRX Issue
Sorry you didn't say it came from us. Normally all G.Loomis warranty is handled up there. I'm happy to hear one of the CS agents is helping with this directly. We will make it right.

Keith Ferguson was the rep, and he was top notch! Not sure if that sort of thing gets to the top, but he was very helpful and accommodating!Bantam1 wrote:Sorry you didn't say it came from us.
