Stradic FL plastics
Hi Dan.
Can you confirm that the body half on the new Stradic FL is XT7G* plastic or a revised lower end / Ci4 / non mentioned composite?
Picture attached of the body half showing what seems to be some sort of fibre in the PA, but just no denotation of +GF?
Thanks in advance.

Re: Stradic FL plastics
I'm not sure what composite they are using.

Re: Stradic FL plastics
So the side of the frame that includes the stem and reel foot is aluminum and the other side of the body is a composite? Is this how most aluminum framed shimano spinning reels are?
Re: Stradic FL plastics
That's how the Stradic has been for a long time. There is more support in the Aluminum now compared to past models. We have never seen an issue with the reels and they are very rigid.

Re: Stradic FL plastics
Any chance of finding out or is it secret squirrel stuff? I'm just interested as the previous iterations of Stradic with the half alu half plastic always mentioned the XT7G plastic, this particular reel has been disregarded all together.
Re: Stradic FL plastics
I'll ask
Re: Stradic FL plastics
The QC engineer said "Unspecified" so in other words we aren't disclosing it.
