Poison Adrena Rods
Poison Adrena Rods
Shimano Poison Adrena Casting Rod 7'3" Med
I was looking at this rod on TWH the action say regular fast.
I' looking for a rod with somewhat of a moderate fast , but not a completely moderate
I won't be using it for crankbaits , more for casting jigs from shore is this it.

Technically speaking, these rods are what I consider a slow fast, but tilts more towards fast than moderate fast if that makes sense. They a somewhat stiffer JDM blank.

That will work just fine imo. Not soft enough for smaller treble hook baits imo.Lobo wrote: ↑Wed Jan 08, 2020 8:49 pmShimano Poison Adrena Casting Rod 7'3" Med

The previous generation 610M was a good rod for small cranks, jerkbaits, small jigs...kind of a good do all rod within reason. The new 73M is faster, too fast for cranks in my opinion. Take a look at the Expride rods. The EX170MGA would be a good medium power cranking rod.

He said he WON'T be using it for crankbaits and such. Mostly for jigs.
Re: Poison Adrena Rods
I think it would work well for smaller jigs.
I use mine for T-rigs.

Re: Poison Adrena Rods
Kind of getting the vibe that the 7 3 being slower will work for jigs/1/2oz'ish, just not necessarily ideally suited? but would the 7 3 make for a solid 3/8th skipping jig stick?
