I was looking to buy an 07 stella 1000s from Japan and was just wondering if the Stella 1000FD spool fits on the 07 Stella from Japan. They are the same year, and same design as far as I can tell. I was hoping to use the 1000S spool for trout, and the regular 1000FD spool for finesse bass duties. Thanks!

They should interchange but I am not 100% about the drag knob. I know some of the shallow spool models had a slightly different drag curve and used a different knob. It should be the same but I cannot be 100% certain.
