the amazon shop's reply ( translated from japanese ..)

Thank you Mace. It is a plain market. As long as you read the English sentence, it seems that there is a malfunction or malfunction. We are afraid that our guarantee is for one month due to the terms of Amazon. In addition, the product warranty may be applied overseas, so please contact Shimano Support in your country of residence. We apologize for the inconvenience, and thank you.

...

so my only option is to get in touch with official shimano japanese service it seems..and i really dont know how to do that..

Do not take the DC unit apart. There is a portion that is sealed from the factory and there is no way to seal it again when you open it, or at least correctly. I have seen some attempts on Calais DC units which use a similar housing.

The problem with buying a reel that isn't sold in your market is getting service. We have recently starting to offer service in the US but only if we can get the parts. There is also a charge for the parts and the service. Parts prices for the JDM reels hasn't been cheap. A DC unit for example is probably around $400 US. A spool for that reel is about $190.

Being you are in Turkey Shimano Europe should be the correct service location for you. I handle the US market on this board. I'll ask someone in Japan about this and see what can be done. Give me a day or two to get back to you.

I would contact Shimano Europe and ask if they can send to Shimano Japan to repair. This way if there is a repair needed that isn't covered under warranty it can be completed and billed correctly. Japan has no way to bill you directly if the repairs needed are not a warranty issue.

Just FYI there's not much to look at in a DC unit. This a Calais DC - which spent time beneath a body of water for X time. The reels exterior chrome finish is shot... But the DC unit keeps working like a champ.

Plenty of oil which has seeped out of the spool bearing into the unit itself - its Inox MX5, no effect thus far. But I would like to replenish the dielectric grease on the selection knobs contacts.

I'm surprised the unit still functions. You can see water was in the contacts because the grease turned green. There is a sealant applied beyond the grease. You can see some remnants of it where the white color is around the halves of the unit. The seal is a hard silicone type material that can be damaged by excess oil. It becomes a liquid sticky mess and that's what it looks like to me in the pics you posted. That DC unit is a not 100% sealed like the I-DC4 units used in Curado and SLX.

Honestly you couldn't give me 100 Curado DC's for this old clunker... She's got it all, except for a brass gear set...

Not sure where that corrosion is you mentioned?

Dan said that the grease turning green is an indicator of water infiltration into the contacts. I think he meant if that is the case, then there must be corrosion somewhere, by default.
Try not to let your mind wander. It is much too small to be outside unsupervised.

I'd call the grease that's there a ever so slight yellowish tinge, but not green. Its hardened as I've pulled out some from behind the contacts and reapplied it to where its needed. Definitely not green, maybe its monitor colour or my flash lighting on the picture that's throwing false colours?

update :

my countless efforts trying to reach shimano japan and europe finally nourished.

Shimano turkey senior officer reached me out and finally im able to officialy send the reel to their service.

I hope they have a diagnosis of some sort so that i can order the required part number.

Thanks for Mr.Gokhan dealing with the issue in first hand.

As stated above, I had a Conquest 200 DC that would lose the whine because I didn't use it enough (only for summer deep-cranking) and I would have to send it to Shimano to "recharge" after not using it for many months.
They recharge via the cast, not by any external means.
Exactly what I meant...no use/no casts...And i could not get it to recharge casting....but Shimano could...It was the only DC I ever had that would do this...

They couldnt figure out the problem , not even tried to open the reel and see if the bearings have any issue etc ..
